Salford City teenager Will Wright has agreed a move to Liverpool after turning down Arsenal. The Reds have negotiated a deal for the 17-year-old striker that will see them pay \u00a3200,000 up front along with a potential number of add-ons.<\/p>\n

Arsenal are understood to have offered a bigger fee to the League Two outfit and were prepared to pay more in wages for the forward.<\/p>\n

However, Wright preferred a transfer to Liverpool<\/a> for footballing reasons and the fact he would be able to stay in the North West rather than having to move to London.<\/p>\n

The player is undergoing a medical and, on the deal being completed, will start in Liverpool’s under-21 side under new coach Rob Page.<\/p>\n

Wright has been a prolific scorer at youth level with Salford and made his first-team breakthrough as as 16-year-old last season when making his debut in the EFL Trophy against Wolves U21s in November.<\/p>\n
