Translink, in partnership with Keep Northern Ireland Beautiful (KNIB), has launched the 2025 SPIRIT of Translink Facility Awards.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n
The initiative supports Translink staff in developing a culture of continuous improvement, giving public recognition to the extra mile taken by staff in creating a more attractive environment for passengers and colleagues.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n
Assessed by KNIB, each facility is judged across a set of key criteria examining key areas including resource efficiency, energy and carbon, biodiversity, health and wellbeing activities, stakeholder, employee, and community engagement as well as employee culture, behaviour, and leadership.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n
These positive steps not only help to improve lives locally but also feed into wider global sustainability development goals helping to create a better world around us.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n
This year, Belfast Grand Central Station has entered the awards for the first time.\u00a0Launching the initiative,\u00a0Chris Conway, Group Chief Executive, Translink, said:\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n \u201cWe\u2019re committed to leading the transformation of transport in Northern Ireland and keeping everyone Better. \u201cThese annual awards reflect Translink\u2019s commitment to environmental stewardship; employee and passenger experience; and community engagement. Last year\u2019s SPIRIT awards saw 36 facilities awarded, with 14 facilities achieving the highest status, Platinum. It\u2019s crucially important that best practice in these areas is recognised and celebrated \u2013 we look forward to getting the 2025 awards underway.\u201d\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n
