{"id":301413,"date":"2025-07-29T14:30:11","date_gmt":"2025-07-29T14:30:11","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/301413\/"},"modified":"2025-07-29T14:30:11","modified_gmt":"2025-07-29T14:30:11","slug":"bus-rail-facilities-across-northern-ireland-enter-2025-spirit-of-translink-awards","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/301413\/","title":{"rendered":"Bus &#038; Rail Facilities Across Northern Ireland Enter 2025 SPIRIT Of Translink Awards"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Translink, in partnership with Keep Northern Ireland Beautiful (KNIB), has launched the 2025 SPIRIT of Translink Facility Awards.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The initiative supports Translink staff in developing a culture of continuous improvement, giving public recognition to the extra mile taken by staff in creating a more attractive environment for passengers and colleagues.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Assessed by KNIB, each facility is judged across a set of key criteria examining key areas including resource efficiency, energy and carbon, biodiversity, health and wellbeing activities, stakeholder, employee, and community engagement as well as employee culture, behaviour, and leadership.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>These positive steps not only help to improve lives locally but also feed into wider global sustainability development goals helping to create a better world around us.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>This year, Belfast Grand Central Station has entered the awards for the first time.\u00a0<strong>Launching the initiative,\u00a0Chris Conway, Group Chief Executive, Translink, said:\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe\u2019re committed to leading the transformation of transport in Northern Ireland and keeping everyone Better. Connected. Our people and facilities play a crucial role in achieving this everyday. \u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe SPIRIT of Translink Awards inspire colleagues across the business to make things even better for everyone that uses our services and works at our stations and I\u2019d like to wish everyone good luck in this year\u2019s awards.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u201cEmbracing 4 key themes around Safety, Environment, Health and Community, staff create a positive culture and display a real sense of pride in their workplace. This enhances overall journey experience and drives more people to use public transport as their first choice for travel, today for tomorrow.\u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAttractive facilities also play an important role in overall visitor experience. Last year\u2019s SPIRIT awards saw 36 facilities awarded, with 14 facilities achieving the highest status, Platinum.
