William is a longtime friend of Hugh, who is godfather to William and Kate\u2019s eldest son, Prince George. Hugh is also godfather to Prince Harry\u2019s son, Prince Archie. He has long-held ties with the Royal family and is the godson of King Charles. His mother is also William\u2019s godmother.<\/p>\n
So, we wouldn\u2019t be surprised to see him keep this tradition going by making William his daughter\u2019s godfather.<\/p>\n
Hugh and Olivia announced they were expecting in March. \u201cThe Duke and Duchess of Westminster are very pleased to share that the Duchess is expecting a baby in the summer,\u201d a spokesperson for the couple said in a statement. \u201cThe couple are delighted with the news and are very much looking forward to starting a family together.\u201d<\/p>\n
The couple married in June 2024 at a luxury wedding, which William attended alongside his cousin, Princess Eugenie. Kate, who was undergoing cancer treatment at the time, was not in attendance.<\/p>\n
The news is the latest in a string of positives for the Royal family. After Kate revealed that she was finished with cancer treatment and in remission earlier this year, she has been easing back into public duties.
