\n Hazel Tromans first wrote to the private landlord who owns the block of flats she lives next to in Malt Mill Lane, Halesowen, in 2020, asking him to tame the brambles in the property\u2019s garden that had begun growing over, under and through her garden fence.\n<\/p>\n
\n Five years on, Ms Tromans said nothing has been done and she has had enough.\n<\/p>\n
\n The 83-year-old said the neighbouring landlord, Arun Bahal, has told her she can cut them down herself and throw the trimmings back over the fence, however, due to her age, she said is unable to do this.\n<\/p>\n
\n She also said she is not prepared to pay someone to do the work as this is \u201cMr Bahal\u2019s responsibility\u201d, not hers.\n<\/p>\n

\n \u201cThey are growing over the top, through the gaps and underneath.\n<\/p>\n
\n \u201cSome of them that are coming through must be at least 20-25 feet.\n<\/p>\n
\n \u201cMy late husband and I have spent thousands upkeeping our garden over the years, but I\u2019m not going to pay to cut his brambles \u2013 that\u2019s his responsibility.\u201d\n<\/p>\n
\n As it is privately-owned land, Dudley Council informed Ms Tromans it is unable to step in and, as Mr Bahal suggested, said she could trim them herself or pay for someone to do so and throw them back over the fence.\n<\/p>\n
\n She added: \u201cWe have always been good neighbours for Mr Bahal, but now I\u2019m fed up with the situation.\u201d\n<\/p>\n
\n When asked about the situation regarding Ms Troman\u2019s repeated requests to tame his property\u2019s garden, Mr Bahal said he would \u201ctry and find someone to do the work\u201d.\n<\/p>\n
