Yesterday at 20:54<\/p>\n

Motorists have been queued for miles during major delays on Tuesday evening following a crash on the M1 outside Belfast.<\/p>\n

Traffic was at one stage backed up for over 11 miles, spanning from Saintfield in Lisburn to York Street in Belfast.<\/p>\n

Cameras on Traffic Watch NI showed a large backlog of traffic along the Westlink and M1.<\/p>\n

In a brief statement, Traffic Watch posted: \u201cLisburn – Road Users are advised of an on going incident on the Hard Shoulder of the M1 heading West Bound after the Jct 6 Saintfield Rd On Slip.<\/p>\n

\u201cPSNI are in attendance. Please approach with caution\u201d<\/p>\n

News Catch Up – Tuesday 29th July 2025 <\/p>\n

In a statement, a PSNI spokesperson said the incident was a \u201cdamage only road traffic collision\u201d.<\/p>\n
