Liverpool<\/a> have hijacked Arsenal<\/a>‘s move for Salford City striker Will Wright, according to The Athletic<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The 17-year-old looked all set for a move to the Emirates after the Gunners and Salford agreed a fee of \u00a3200,000 plus add-ons, but they were unable to convince the player, who never gave the green light.<\/p>\n

Having offered Wright the chance to continue his development in the north-west, Liverpool were able to succeed where Arsenal failed<\/a>, and agreements are now in place with the player and between the two clubs.<\/p>\n
