\n\tIn the latest sign of consolidation sweeping the art-tech sector, inventory management giant Artlogic<\/a> and gallery software firm ArtCloud<\/a> will merge in an attempt to reshape the digital infrastructure that underpins the global art market.<\/p>\n

\n\tThe move combines Artlogic\u2019s long-established strength in inventory systems and website solutions\u2014used by more than 5,500 clients across 70 countries\u2014with ArtCloud\u2019s rapid growth in collector engagement tools, AI-driven features, and integrated payments. Together, the firms now support over 6,000 galleries, artists, and collectors, managing more than 15 million artworks.<\/p>\n

\n\tArtlogic CEO Mike Profit framed the merger as a long-term alignment rather than a short-term land grab. \u201cWe are not merging to compete in a momentary race,\u201d he said. \u201cWe\u2019re building durable, flexible infrastructure that empowers galleries, collectors, and institutions well into the future.\u201d <\/p>\n

\n\tArtCloud CEO Alex West, who will join the combined company as Chief Innovation Officer, emphasized the role of technology as a cost-saving investment for galleries facing rising overhead. \u201cWe can\u2019t lower their rent,\u201d he said, \u201cbut we can build the infrastructure that helps ensure their efforts go further.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tThis deal arrives amid a wave of high-profile mergers and strategic alliances in the art market. Beowolff Capital<\/a> has placed an offer to acquire Artnet, a move that would see that digital marketplace be placed under the same umbrella as Artsy. Beowolff is now working to delist Artnet from the Frankfurt Stock Exchange in a bid to reshape digital art marketplaces into a private, AI-driven ecosystem. <\/p>\n

\n\tEarlier this month Winston Art Group and Artory\u00a0joined forces to create the\u00a0Winston Artory Group<\/a>, pairing traditional appraisal services with blockchain-backed data analytics\u2014essentially aiming to quantify the unquantifiable. And then there is New Perspectives Art Partners<\/a>, an invite-only consultancy launched by veterans from Ed and\u00a0<\/strong>Alex Dolman,\u00a0Brett Gorvy,\u00a0Philip Hoffman, and\u00a0Patti Wong; it was conceived as a high-level problem-solving task force for art world power players.<\/p>\n
