Sheffield Wednesday have finally agreed to part ways with Danny Rohl.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The ex-Owls boss has sent supporters a message<\/a> after he mutually agreed to leave the club on Tuesday morning, with EFL Analysis<\/strong> reporting earlier in the month that the 36-year-old was set to depart<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The North Stand at Hillsborough has been closed by Sheffield City Council<\/a> until the issues surrounding it are fixed, while Dejphon Chansiri continues to own the South Yorkshire outfit after a takeover bid fell through earlier in July<\/a>.<\/p>\n

There has been a disappointed reaction to Rohl\u2019s exit<\/a>, and while Chansiri has been the target of a lot of negativity, the decision to let the German go is perhaps the right idea \u2013 although it may have come too late.<\/p>\n

Sheffield Wednesday have made the right decision with Danny Rohl<\/p>\n

Sheffield Wednesday<\/a> were in a mess on the pitch when Rohl took charge of the club in October 2023, becoming the youngest manager in the EFL at the time.<\/p>\n

He kept the Owls in the Championship, despite their dreadful start to the campaign, before his team went on to finish 12th last season. However, a poor end to the campaign saw the ex-Wednesday manager lay into his players<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Throughout the summer, his name has been linked with many vacancies and it looked as though his departure was guaranteed as the situation off the pitch deteriorated.<\/p>\n

Therefore, when Rohl returned to take training<\/a>, it came as somewhat of a surprise. Sheffield Wednesday need order and leadership, as well as someone who they can trust and turning to another person may be the best thing for them at this time.<\/p>\n

Henrik Pedersen deserves the chance to lead the Owls<\/p>\n

While the now former head coach\u2019s future was extremely uncertain over the last few weeks, Henrik Pedersen has remained committed<\/a> and he is now expected to take charge on a permanent basis.<\/p>\n

He deserves the opportunity in the hotseat at Hillsborough, and while positive results will be tough to come by, he has time to work out how to get the very best out of his players.<\/p>\n

Having like-minded people on his coaching team is vital, and Chansiri must offer Pedersen the chance to do this, starting with Barry Bannan, who is yet to sign a contract<\/a> at Sheffield Wednesday.<\/p>\n

The decision to let go of Rohl was a good one after how far the situation had gone. But surely this should have been done earlier in the summer?
