Four people were arrested across Scotland by cops policing Donald Trump’s<\/a> visit, which saw an army of 7,000 officers deployed.<\/p>\n Arrests were made in Aberdeenshire, Ayrshire, Glasgow and Edinburgh as a major taskforce, dubbed Operation Roll 2, was assembled to deal with the arrival of the US President, <\/a>who spent five days in the country visiting his golf resorts.<\/p>\n Scots police chiefs have revealed they had more than 6,000 of their own officers mobilised whilst they received support from aid officers elsewhere in the UK.<\/a><\/p>\n In total they made four arrests and issued a warning in relation to one of the biggest operations in the Force’s history.<\/a><\/p>\n Arrests were made between Friday, July 25 and Tuesday, July 29, throughout the duration of the President’s<\/a> visit as protests and demonstrations were held in response to Trump’s visit.<\/p>\n A 25-year-old man was arrested in Glasgow<\/a> on Friday, July 25 in relation to a Section 38 of the Criminal Justice and Licensing Scotland (Act) offence (threatening or abusive behaviour) at Balmedie on Thursday, July 24.<\/p>\n He is due to appear at Aberdeen Sheriff Court on Wednesday, August 20.<\/a><\/p>\n On the same day, a 65-year-old was arrested in Balmedie in relation to the same act. She was cautioned and charged<\/a> and reported to the Procurator Fiscal.<\/p>\n An anti-Trump demonstration was held in Balmedie close to Trump’s Aberdeenshire golf course.<\/p>\n A 25-year-old man was also arrested on Friday in Prestwick. Officers issued the man with a Recorded Police Warning<\/a> for threatening or abusive behaviour).<\/p>\n On Sunday a 41-year-old male was arrested at Glasgow Airport,<\/a> for an assault and Aviation Act offence. The man appeared at Paisley Sheriff Court on Monday and was remanded in custody.<\/p>\n On the same day in the capital, a 50-year-old female was issued with a RPW near to the American Consulate for threatening or abusive behaviour.<\/p>\n Assistant Chief Constable Emma Bond, Gold commander for the police operation said Trump’s<\/a> visit took place safely without any serious disruption, and thanked her officers.<\/p>\n Chief Constable Bond said: \u201cThis significant event took place safely without any serious disruption.<\/a><\/p>\n \u201cA policing plan was put in place to maintain public safety, balance rights to peaceful protest and minimise disruption.<\/a><\/p>\n \u201cI\u2019d like to thank the public for their patience as we worked tirelessly<\/a> to deliver this operation, while police work continued in communities across Scotland.<\/p>\n \u201cMost importantly, I\u2019d like to thank our officers and staff.
