Coronation Street<\/a> favourite Jenny Connor<\/a> (Sally Ann Matthews<\/a>) is a woman who\u2019s not been lucky in love over the years \u2013 but she doesn\u2019t give up hope.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The former landlady of the Rovers is currently working at the Kabin<\/a>, after being forced to give up the pub to Carla (Alison King). She and husband Johnny Connor (Richard Hawley) took up the license of the pub in 2018. After Johnny\u2019s death in 2021, Jenny continued to be landlady and her stepdaughter Daisy Midgeley (Charlotte Jordan) helped her run the business.\u00a0<\/p>\n

In 2023 Jenny and Daisy bought the pub from its owners using money they took from a secret bank account<\/a> that killer Stephen Reid (Todd Boyce) had used to stash money stolen from Carla.\u00a0<\/p>\n

One of Stephen\u2019s victims was Jenny\u2019s former partner Leo Thompkins<\/a> (Joe Frost). A lot of people disapproved of Jenny and Leo\u2019s age-gap romance but it was perfectly genuine on both sides, so Jenny was devastated when Leo mysteriously vanished and was later discovered to have been murdered by Stephen.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Jenny and Daisy\u2019s relationship turned sour prior to Daisy leaving Weatherfield. When she and her mum Christina (Amy Robbins) heard that Jenny planned to buy the pub from Carla using money inherited from Daisy\u2019s father, they vowed to destroy her.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Their plan involved setting up a fake dating profile<\/a> of a man called Dom, who catfished Jenny and broke her heart once again.\u00a0<\/p>\n

So could the former landlady be due for some better luck in the romance department?\u00a0<\/p>\n

When a pipe bursts in the Kabin, Jenny is badly in need of a hero with a set of plumbing tools and some basic DIY knowledge to stop a catastrophic flood.\u00a0<\/p>\n

A hero humbly steps up, and it\u2019s none other than George Shuttleworth (Tony Maudsley). He gallantly and competently fixes Jenny\u2019s leak and she\u2019s thrilled by his manly prowess and offers to cook him dinner as a way of saying thank you.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n

George would seem to be the ideal man for Jenny. He\u2019s single since Eileen (Sue Cleaver) left<\/a> for Thailand, has his own business and is always nicely turned out as befits Weatherfield\u2019s premier independent funeral director.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n

There\u2019s a problem, though. Jenny\u2019s gutted to learn that Glenda (Jodie Prenger) has set George up on a dating app \u2013 and he\u2019s already had some interest. Clearly Jenny has some competition.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n

Will Jenny decide George is worth fighting for? And how will George cope with being so much in demand?\u00a0<\/p>\n
