It\u2019ll play at the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.whatsonstage.com\/news\/new-troubadour-canary-wharf-theatre-to-open-this-autumn_1666983\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">new Troubadour Canary Wharf Theatre from October 2025<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The creative team has been workshopping the play for over a year, developing a theatrical approach to bring the world of Panem to life in an immersive, in-the-round setting.\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.whatsonstage.com\/news\/the-hunger-games-stage-show-watch-footage-from-the-workshop_1666908\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Watch a teaser video from the workshops here.\u00a0<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Collins said she was excited for the adaptation and praised McPherson\u2019s script as distinct from the film\u2019s screenplay, adding: \u201cMatthew\u2019s immersive, dynamic staging gives the audience a brand-new way to experience the story.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Dunster teased: \u201cWe want to bring audiences something as impactful and edgy as Suzanne Collins\u2019 novel and as passionate and exciting as the movie. But we are going to do it in our own way \u2013 in the theatre. The films have grossed more than $3.4 billion globally. A new novel in the series,\u00a0Sunrise on the Reaping, was released earlier this year with a film adaptation scheduled for November 2026.<\/p>\n<p>The production will take place at the Troubadour Canary Wharf Theatre, a newly designed 1,200-seat venue built to host the world premiere.
