What’s better than one larger than life, fun-loving diva running your local gay bar? Two, of course, which is what happens on EastEnders next week when Cindy Beale and Elaine Peacock join forces at The Albert.<\/p>\n

The pair have often clashed<\/a> in recent months, but with Elaine at a loose end after leaving the Queen Vic<\/a>, everything is about to change.<\/p>\n

“Elaine is a born hostess, so feels a little lost without a bar to work behind and punters to chat to since she sold The Vic,” our EastEnders insider explains.<\/p>\n

“So, when she spots that Cindy is struggling with a busy shift, she leaps into action and it turns out the two frenemies make a great team.”<\/p>\n

It’s Yolande Trueman who realises her friend is down, and after the pair share a heart-to-heart, Elaine is left with food for thought.<\/p>\n

Later, when she spots that Cindy is overwhelmed with a busy bar, Elaine steps in to help take the strain.<\/p>\n

Cindy was reluctantly impressed when Elaine averted disaster at The Albert’s Wimbledon party recently, so doesn’t turn down Elaine’s offer.

“The pair soon have everything in hand,” our source adds. “So later, Cindy makes an offer \u2013 would Elaine like to be co-manager of the Prince Albert? <\/p>\n

“They’ve shared a rocky past, but with George now out of the picture for both of them, could they find they have more in common than they ever thought \u2013 including the ability to throw one hell of a party?”<\/p>\n

EastEnders<\/strong> airs on Mondays-Thursdays at 7.30pm on BBC One. The show also streams on BBC iPlayer, where most episodes drop early at 6am ahead of their TV broadcast. <\/strong><\/p>\n
