{"id":304439,"date":"2025-07-30T17:20:14","date_gmt":"2025-07-30T17:20:14","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/304439\/"},"modified":"2025-07-30T17:20:14","modified_gmt":"2025-07-30T17:20:14","slug":"reds-reach-agreement-for-isak-as-romano-makes-newcastle-open-doors-claim","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/304439\/","title":{"rendered":"Reds reach &#8216;agreement&#8217; for Isak as Romano makes Newcastle &#8216;open doors&#8217; claim"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Liverpool have reportedly reached an \u2018agreement\u2019 over the signing of Alexander Isak from Newcastle this summer.<\/p>\n<p>Isak is a dream target for <a href=\"https:\/\/www.football365.com\/liverpool\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>Liverpool<\/strong> <\/a>and it\u2019s been widely reported that he prefers a move to Anfield amid interest from Saudi Arabia\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.football365.com\/news\/alexander-isak-tells-newcastle-he-wants-to-explore-move-away-amid-liverpool-interest\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>after informing his current club of his intention to \u2018explore\u2019 an exit this summer.<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Liverpool have already spent around \u00a326om on signings this summer, with Hugo Ekitike, Florian Wirtz, Milos Kerkez and Jeremie Frimpong the marquee additions.<\/p>\n<p>But the Reds still have money to spend this summer having barely spent a dime a year ago, with Darwin Nunez, Harvey Elliott and Federico Chiesa all linked with the exit to raise further funds, following the departures of Luis Diaz and Jarell Quansah, who have left for \u00a360.5m and \u00a330m respectively.<\/p>\n<p>Liverpool are now biding their time before making their first official offer, with Fabrizio Romano revealing earlier this week that he reckons a deal is now 60 per cent on.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.football365.com\/news\/liverpool-romano-reveals-percentage-chance-signing-very-keen-isak-newcastle\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>Romano told\u00a0DAZN Football<\/strong><\/a>: \u201cFor Alexander Isak, in terms of percentage for Liverpool, it\u2019s at 60 per cent. Isak wants to make the move to #LFC as early as this transfer window. The clubs are in contact. His salary at Liverpool would be similar to that of Hugo Ekitike\u2019s.\u2019<\/p>\n<p>That verbal contract agreement may put pressure the pressure on Newcastle to sell, but in an update of sorts on Wednesday, Romano claimed Liverpool are still waiting for the Magpies to \u2018open doors\u2019 to his transfer.<\/p>\n<p><strong><a rel=\"noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/FabrizioRomano\/status\/1950560468751265888\" target=\"_blank\">He wrote on X<\/a><\/strong>: No changes yet on Alexander Isak and Benjamin \u0160e\u0161ko sagas. Isak wants Liverpool, the contract has never been an issue, bid ready but only if\/when Newcastle open doors.
