{"id":304621,"date":"2025-07-30T18:57:11","date_gmt":"2025-07-30T18:57:11","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/304621\/"},"modified":"2025-07-30T18:57:11","modified_gmt":"2025-07-30T18:57:11","slug":"plans-lodged-for-former-site-of-historic-pub","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/304621\/","title":{"rendered":"Plans lodged for former site of historic pub"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>                <img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aiir-c-news-figure__image\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/07\/688a63ea26281.jpg\" alt=\"\"\/><\/p>\n<p class=\"aiir-c-news-article__abstract\">\n            Plans have been lodged for student accommodation block on the former site of a Birmingham city centre pub.\n        <\/p>\n<p>Permission is sought for a mixed-use development at the old Golden Eagle site, which would include a 16-storey building with 263 student bed spaces.<\/p>\n<p>Developers also want to build commercial and amenity spaces on the ground floor, which they said would enhance the area.<\/p>\n<p>The Golden Eagle stood at the corner of Swallow Street and Hill Street.
