Prince William<\/strong> and Kate Middleton<\/strong> are being entrusted by King Charles III<\/strong> with more responsibility than ever as he continues to focus on his health.<\/p>\n

\u201cCharles is leaning on them a lot more, it\u2019s very clear he\u2019s seeing them as the future of the monarchy, which is exciting but also puts a ton of pressure on them both because they don\u2019t want to let him down,\u201d an insider exclusively tells the Examiner.<\/p>\n

With Charles, 76, undergoing treatment for an undisclosed form of cancer, William, 43, remains first in the line of succession<\/a> and is preparing to step into his role one day<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Kate, for her part, is now in remission following her own cancer battle and is currently navigating another transition \u2014 the departure of her longtime personal assistant, Natasha Archer<\/strong>, who notably became the royal\u2019s unofficial stylist.<\/p>\n

Archer was confirmed to be leaving Kensington Palace in early July with plans of setting up her own private consultancy years after securing her job in 2010 \u2014 the year Kate and William, both 43, got engaged. She was later promoted to senior private executive assistant in 2022.<\/p>\n

According to People<\/a>, the Prince and Princess of Wales\u2019 household has wished Archer, 37, the very best as she embarks on an exciting professional journey.<\/p>\n

While the Waleses adjust to a new normal, Charles is also doing his best to maintain his royal duties amid his health battle.<\/p>\n

\u201cHe still does plenty himself, it\u2019s not as though he\u2019s on bed rest, but he simply can\u2019t do everything he used to so they are being called on to step up in a big way,\u201d the insider tells the Examiner.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe workload and responsibilities are ramped way up, they\u2019re now involved in all the big picture discussions,\u201d says the insider of William and Kate. \u201cWilliam has his ideas for how he\u2019s going to modernize things<\/a> but he\u2019s also got to be careful that it\u2019s in line with his father\u2019s vision, which does make it a little more challenging.\u201d<\/p>\n

After completing her cancer treatment, the insider explains, \u201cKate is easing back in and taking breaks when she needs to but there\u2019s no getting away from the fact that the days are very long and now that they\u2019re most trusted personal assistant is leaving it\u2019s added a huge weight.\u201d<\/p>\n
