{"id":305290,"date":"2025-07-31T00:50:12","date_gmt":"2025-07-31T00:50:12","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/305290\/"},"modified":"2025-07-31T00:50:12","modified_gmt":"2025-07-31T00:50:12","slug":"edinburgh-airport-suspends-all-flights-due-to-air-traffic-control-problem","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/305290\/","title":{"rendered":"Edinburgh Airport suspends all flights due to air traffic control problem"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Passengers are advised to check with airlines for the latest information on outgoing flights.<\/p>\n<p>16:48, 30 Jul 2025Updated 16:59, 30 Jul 2025<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/07\/1753923012_475_0_CapturePNG.png\" alt=\"Edinburgh Airport\" loading=\"eager\"  \/>Edinburgh Airport<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \">All flights out of <a class=\"TextLink_text-link__dBSS0 TextLink_enabled__dJF3l\" href=\"https:\/\/www.dailyrecord.co.uk\/all-about\/edinburgh-airport\" target=\"_self\" aria-label=\"\" tabindex=\"0\" rel=\"noopener\">Edinburgh airport<\/a> have been suspended due to a &#8216;technical issue.&#8217;<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \">It was announced this afternoon, Wednesday, July 30, just after 4:30pm that the issue affecting the <a class=\"TextLink_text-link__dBSS0 TextLink_enabled__dJF3l\" href=\"https:\/\/www.dailyrecord.co.uk\/all-about\/edinburgh-airport\" target=\"_blank\" aria-label=\"national air traffic control centreLink opens in a new tab.\" tabindex=\"0\" rel=\"noopener\">national air traffic control centre<\/a> has caused all departues to be held at the airport.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \">Birmingham, Liverpool, Stansted, Newcastle, Manchester, Gatwick and Luton are among the other <a class=\"TextLink_text-link__dBSS0 TextLink_enabled__dJF3l\" href=\"https:\/\/www.dailyrecord.co.uk\/all-about\/edinburgh-airport\" target=\"_blank\" aria-label=\"airportsLink opens in a new tab.\" tabindex=\"0\" rel=\"noopener\">airports<\/a> affected.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \">The National Air Traffic Control Services (NATS) in Hampshire announced just before 5pm that issue has been resolved and <a class=\"TextLink_text-link__dBSS0 TextLink_enabled__dJF3l\" href=\"https:\/\/www.dailyrecord.co.uk\/all-about\/edinburgh-airport\" target=\"_blank\" aria-label=\"Edinburgh AirportLink opens in a new tab.\" tabindex=\"0\" rel=\"noopener\">Edinburgh Airport<\/a> say they are working to get services back up and running.<\/p>\n<p>Content cannot be displayed without consent<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \">A spokesperson for the airport said: &#8220;Due to a technical issue impacting NATS, all departures from <a class=\"TextLink_text-link__dBSS0 TextLink_enabled__dJF3l\" href=\"https:\/\/www.dailyrecord.co.uk\/all-about\/edinburgh-airport\" target=\"_self\" aria-label=\"\" tabindex=\"0\" rel=\"noopener\">Edinburgh Airport<\/a> are currently being held.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \">&#8220;We are waiting for further information from <a class=\"TextLink_text-link__dBSS0 TextLink_enabled__dJF3l\" href=\"https:\/\/www.dailyrecord.co.uk\/all-about\/edinburgh-airport\" target=\"_blank\" aria-label=\"NATSLink opens in a new tab.\" tabindex=\"0\" rel=\"noopener\">NATS<\/a> and will provide updates when possible.
