\n Parvalux, based in Poole, has been awarded the ISO 14001 Environmental Management System standard.\n<\/p>\n
\n This recognises the firm’s commitment to sustainable practices and environmental responsibility.\n<\/p>\n
\n The company was presented with the standard by independent certification body BSI in May this year.\n<\/p>\n
\n Electric motor manufacturer recognized for its commitment to sustainability and environmental responsibility (Image: Parvalux Electric Motors) Parvalux is working towards reducing metal waste by 25 per cent and non-recyclable waste by 10 per cent, based on 2024 figures.\n<\/p>\n
\n To achieve this, the company has developed the Parvalux Materials Review Board, which assesses components daily to identify defects and reduce material wastage.\n<\/p>\n
\n The firm’s environmental management system also focuses on optimising the quality, longevity, and recyclability of its supply chain.\n<\/p>\n
\n Parvalux requires its suppliers to operate to a similar environmental standard.\n<\/p>\n
\n Parvalux aims to reduce its energy consumption by 10 per cent, also based on 2024 figures.\n<\/p>\n
\n The company has made significant progress towards this goal, reducing its CO2 emissions by 129 tons since opening its new global manufacturing headquarters in Poole in 2023.\n<\/p>\n
