After a massive 2024 debut, this year\u2019s event is shaping up to be one of the standout weekends on the summer calendar \u2014 not just for Sefton, but for music fans across the whole Liverpool City Region.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Kicking things off on Thursday night is none other than soul and R&amp;B legend Billy Ocean<\/strong>, who\u2019ll be lighting up the Salt and Tar stage with a back-catalogue of timeless hits. He\u2019ll be joined by special guests and Liverpool music royalty The Real Thing, adding even more soul and swagger to the opening night.<\/p>\n<p>Friday 8th August sees\u00a0<strong>The K\u2019s<\/strong>\u00a0take the reins \u2014 one of the UK\u2019s hottest indie bands right now, known for their electric live sets and a rapidly growing fan base. Expect singalong anthems, bouncing crowds and an atmosphere that\u2019ll be hard to top.<\/p>\n<p>Then on Saturday night,\u00a0<strong>Sugababes<\/strong>\u00a0step into the spotlight. With more than two decades of hits and an ever-growing fan following, the trio promise a pop masterclass that\u2019ll have Salt and Tar dancing from start to finish. It\u2019s the ultimate girls\u2019 night out \u2014 but one the lads will love too.<\/p>\n<p>And bringing the weekend to a huge close on Sunday 10th August are\u00a0<strong>Ocean Colour Scene<\/strong>, Britpop icons whose live shows never disappoint. The site opens each day at 4pm and the vibe is relaxed, friendly, and packed with personality. You\u2019ll find a buzzing\u00a0<strong>food and drink village<\/strong>serving up everything from burgers and fried chicken to veggie and vegan Indian street food courtesy of Bundobust. There\u2019ll be drinks flowing from a well-stocked bar and live street performers warming things up as you make your way through to the gates.<\/p>\n<p>While you\u2019re there, grab some official\u00a0<strong>festival merch<\/strong>, get glittered up, and if the unpredictable British weather decides to make an appearance,\u00a0<strong>ponchos will be on sale<\/strong>\u00a0so the party doesn\u2019t stop.<\/p>\n<p>Each night wraps up at 10pm, with plenty of time to head back via Bootle Strand train station just a three-minute walk away, or pick up your car from the Strand\u2019s multi-storey car park, which stays open until 11pm.<\/p>\n<p>And for those who\u2019ve left it late \u2014 don\u2019t panic just yet.
