Jordan Pickford<\/a> was excellent again in goal, and even the struggling Jack Harrison delivered some quality passes and crosses.<\/p>\n Abdoulaye Doucoure also made several telling contributions, none more so than his clever touch to score the winning goal. And who didn\u2019t love that contract signing celebration? It is so encouraging to have a manager who knows how to make game-changing substitutions.<\/p>\n Bringing on Charlie Alcaraz<\/a> and Beto, who offered far more of a threat than Armando Broja<\/a>, who seems determined to play on the wing. Their introduction gave the home defenders a different set of problems to deal with, and those two seem to link so well together.<\/p>\n But for me, the most encouraging moment was Dwight McNeil<\/a> coming on in the 87th minute. How we have missed his creativity during his absence. His interception to steal the ball from Murillo was crucial, and his slide rule pass to find Doucoure to score the winner was absolutely superb.<\/p>\n It meant that with one pass in stoppage time, McNeil had made as many assists as Jack Harrison<\/a> and Jesper Lindstrom<\/a> had produced together all season. Everton have another tough fixture on Saturday against Manchester City, fifth in the table.<\/p>\n It is a fixture that we face with every confidence. There is still so much to play for in our remaining games. If we can stay in 13th, then we will earn \u00a322.3 million in prize money rather than \u00a314 million if we finish 16th, which helps our finances immensely.<\/p>\n We only have three games left at the Old Lady.
