He was a menace as a long-stick midfielder for the Big Red, contributing 19 ground balls, 11 caused turnovers and three goals during his team\u2019s historic run to a title in Foxborough, Mass.<\/p>\n<p>It was the ultimate lacrosse swan song. Now, Wallace is off chasing another dream.<\/p>\n<p>The Richmond, Va., native entered the transfer portal in pursuit of his other passion and latched on with Virginia to play football as a graduate student this fall. He is the tallest tight end listed on the Cavaliers\u2019 roster.<\/p>\n<p>At St. Christopher\u2019s School, Wallace helped the football team to a runner-up finish in the Virginia Independent Schools Athletic Association State Championship. He earned second-team all-state honors that season.<\/p>\n<p>This will hardly be his first big-time transition in college. Having committed to Cornell as a goalie, Wallace made the switch to long-stick midfielder ahead of his junior season in 2023.
