His brother, Louis Kincaid, flew to the French capital on Wednesday, where he met with officials from the British Embassy and the French police.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \">However, despite a missing persons report having been filed with the <a class=\"TextLink_text-link__dBSS0 TextLink_enabled__dJF3l\" href=\"https:\/\/www.belfastlive.co.uk\/all-about\/psni\" target=\"\" aria-label=\"\" tabindex=\"0\" rel=\"noopener\">PSNI<\/a> and relayed to Interpol, French authorities claimed they had no record of the report when Louis arrived.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \">\u201cWhen we arrived at the police station, they had no record of Robert\u2019s disappearance being reported to them, so we filed a missing persons report there and then. They kept asking us if we were sure that he was in Paris and how we knew that he was in Charles de Gaulle,\u201d Louis told <a class=\"TextLink_text-link__dBSS0 TextLink_enabled__dJF3l\" href=\"https:\/\/www.belfastlive.co.uk\" target=\"_self\" aria-label=\"\" tabindex=\"0\" rel=\"noopener\">Belfast Live<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/07\/0_1000084245.jpg\" alt=\"Louis Kincaid placing posters up around Paris\" loading=\"lazy\"  \/>Robert&#8217;s brother Louis has flown to Paris to search for him<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \">According to Louis, police in Paris initially insisted Robert had never arrived in France. They claimed he had not boarded the flight from Cotonou, Benin, and had not used his passport.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \">\u201cThe police loaded up a laptop and said that he never got on the plane from Benin and said that he never presented his passport. They were adamant that he was not in Paris and told us that he had been booked on a flight from Benin to Paris last night, which was due to arrive this morning,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \">It has since transpired that Robert had intually been due to fly home from Benin on 30th July but had left early for reasons unknown to the family.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \">Louis went to the airport this morning with a member of <a class=\"TextLink_text-link__dBSS0 TextLink_enabled__dJF3l\" href=\"https:\/\/www.belfastlive.co.uk\/all-about\/uk-government\" target=\"_self\" aria-label=\"\" tabindex=\"0\" rel=\"noopener\">Embassy staff<\/a>, hoping to see his brother disembark. Robert did not appear. They were later told that although Robert had been booked onto that flight and another one scheduled for the following day, both bookings had been cancelled.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \">However, the situation took a further turn when <a class=\"TextLink_text-link__dBSS0 TextLink_enabled__dJF3l\" href=\"https:\/\/www.belfastlive.co.uk\/all-about\/uk-government\" target=\"_self\" aria-label=\"\" tabindex=\"0\" rel=\"noopener\">Foreign Office<\/a> officials confirmed that Robert had indeed boarded the original flight on 17th July. His name appeared on the flight log, and his passport had been scanned.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \">\u201cThey then came back and said that he had boarded the flight on the 17th and that he was on the flight log for that date and that he definitely made it to Paris,\u201d Louis said.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/07\/0_Red-White-Black-Missing-Person-Poster.png\" alt=\"A missing poster for Robert Kincaid which the family will distribute in Paris\" loading=\"lazy\"  \/>A missing poster for Robert Kincaid, which the family will distribute in Paris<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \">French police have now retrieved the details of whoever booked the recent flights in Robert\u2019s name. Meanwhile, the <a class=\"TextLink_text-link__dBSS0 TextLink_enabled__dJF3l\" href=\"https:\/\/www.belfastlive.co.uk\/all-about\/psni\" target=\"_self\" aria-label=\"\" tabindex=\"0\" rel=\"noopener\">PSNI<\/a> has accessed Robert\u2019s bank accounts and are attempting to trace any card transactions he may have made.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \">\u201cWe were in the police station for a good couple of hours, and they were very thorough, but they didn\u2019t seem to want to check through any CCTV. They are now investigating, and now we have it confirmed that he was on that flight on 17th July.
