\n Heavy downpours hit the south coast earlier today, with areas in Southampton and the New Forest among those affected.\n<\/p>\n

\n Shocking footage shows rainwater pooling\u00a0outside the entrance of Tesco in Applemore.\n<\/p>\n

\n The supermarket giant remained open despite the thundery showers, with shoppers seen entering and leaving the shop.\n<\/p>\n

\n A video taken by Glenn McDermott captured the water filling the car park at the store near Hythe this afternoon.\n<\/p>\n

\n The water was particularly deep near the entrance, with the wheels of a couple of shopping trollies completely submerged.\u00a0\n<\/p>\n

\n Shoppers could be seen trying to avoid the large expanse of water outside Tesco as they left the shop.\n<\/p>\n

\n Nearby in Fawley, several residential roads have been flooded as result of the weather.\n<\/p>\n

\n “I have reported the areas I am aware of but if anyone is affected, please report it to Hampshire County Council.\n<\/p>\n

\n “The more reports they receive the better and they will hopefully come clear the drains quickly.\n<\/p>\n
