And in honor of the rock legend\u2019s life and legacy following his death July 22, the Royal Family\u2019s official army band put its own spin on one of <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.billboard.com\/artist\/black-sabbath\/\">Black Sabbath<\/a>\u2018s biggest hits.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\tIn a <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.tiktok.com\/@about.london\/video\/7532839159791160598?lang=en\" target=\"_blank\">video<\/a> filmed during a recent Changing of the Guard ceremony, the red-uniformed musicians stand in an arc outside of Buckingham Palace. With a conductor keeping time, the brass and woodwind instrumentalists play the melody of \u201cParanoid\u201d \u2014 which reached No. 61 on the <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.billboard.com\/charts\/hot-100\/\">Billboard Hot 100<\/a> in 1970 \u2014 over the sound of brash snare drums.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\tThe tribute comes after Osbourne died at the age of 76 just weeks after playing his final concert, as announced in a joint statement from his family. \u201cIt is with more sadness than mere words can convey that we have to report that our beloved Ozzy Osbourne has passed away this morning,\u201d it read. \u201cHe was with his family and surrounded by love. We ask everyone to respect our family privacy at this time.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\tIn the days since, posts honoring the icon have flooded social media, including condolences penned by all of his former Black Sabbath bandmates. On Wednesday (July 30), Osbourne\u2019s <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.billboard.com\/music\/music-news\/ozzy-osbourne-funeral-procession-birmingham-1236033150\/\">funeral procession <\/a>took place in his home city of Birmingham, England, where fans lined the streets to pay tribute. His wife, Sharon, and his children Aime\u00e9, Kelly and Jack laid flowers on the Black Sabbath bridge, which was adorned with countless other offerings from mourners.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\tCharles has been putting the army band to good use since he took the throne in May 2023 following the death of his mother, Queen Elizabeth II. Earlier in July, for instance, the <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.billboard.com\/culture\/pride\/chappell-roan-song-king-charles-british-army-band-pride-1236014944\/\">ensemble performed<\/a> Chappell Roan\u2019s \u201cPink Pony Club\u201d in honor of Pride.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\tThe performances align with the king\u2019s love of music, which he showcased earlier this year with the launch of his Apple Music radio show, The King\u2019s Music Room. \u201cThroughout my life, music has meant a great deal to me,\u201d he said in <a href=\"https:\/\/www.billboard.com\/music\/music-news\/king-charles-apple-music-radio-show-trailer-1235917090\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">a March statement<\/a>. \u201cIt has that remarkable ability to bring happy memories, comfort us in times of sadness and take us to distant places.
