The Robins are set to add another signing to their ranks.\"DecDec Murphy is set to sign for Hull KR.<\/p>\n

Hull KR are set to win the race to sign Salford Red Devils fullback Dec Murphy, All Out Rugby League<\/a> understands.<\/p>\n

The cross-code fullback, who has made a big impression since being given an opportunity by Salford, is thought to be set to sign a three-year contract with the Robins after they saw off competition from four rival clubs for his services.<\/p>\n

Murphy arrived at Salford from Saracens and after impressing in reserve grade, he was given an opportunity in Paul Rowley’s side. British-born before moving to New Zealand, he has caught the eye with some great evasive qualities during his appearances so far.<\/p>\n

Given he is considered a player from a new player pool, Rovers will get dispensation on the first year of his contract. Only 50% of his salary will count on the cap next year.<\/p>\n

20 years of age, Murphy will be another young addition to Willie Peters’ squad next year. It has been a focus area for the Robins heading into 2026 as they look to bring the age profile of their squad down. A Salford loanee, Tom Whitehead, is also heading to the club, alongside the likes of Jumah Sambou, Connor Wynne and Jack Charles.<\/p>\n
