\n\tLindsay Lohan<\/a> harked back to her 16-year-old self at the Thursday evening premiere of \u201cFreakier Friday,\u201d <\/a>the upcoming sequel to the storied 2003 comedy film<\/a> in which she starred alongside Jamie Lee Curtis, Chad Michael Murray and Mark Harmon. The now 39-year-old posed on the purple carpet outside Odeon Luxe Leicester Square in a custom lavender halterneck, crystal mesh gown by Ludovic de Saint Sernin. <\/p>\n

\n\tSilver floral detailing crawled along the right hip of the gown and the left side of Lohan\u2019s midsection. That same embroidery kissed the bottom trim and appeared on the strap around her neck, extending down across her chest. The delicate, iridescent fabric matched the ethereal nature of Lohan\u2019s soft blond waves and light makeup. In her right hand, she clutched the chain strap of a tiny Judith Leiber bag shaped like the maroon guitar belonging to her \u201cFreaky Friday\u201d character, Anna Coleman, in the first movie. <\/p>\n

\n\tTogether, the miniature purse and floor-length gown, styled by Andrew Mukamal, were a mature vision of the outfit Anna wore to her mom, Tess Coleman\u2019s, wedding at the end of the original movie. Here, she donned a two-piece satin skirt and camisole set with cream-colored floral stitching and a chiffon trim. As the credits rolled, Anna and the rest of her band, Pink Slip, took the stage to perform, pulling out her maroon instrument one last time.<\/p>\n

\n\tIn London, Lohan continued her soft glam streak, opting for warm, rosy hues and light shimmers on her eyes, cheeks and lips. The sparkly coral-toned shadow cast a semicircle over her eyelids, extending into her inner corners, while a deep pink dressed her lips. She kept the same hairstyle she\u2019s kept for years: blond coloring and loose waves.<\/p>\n

\n\tEarlier this week, the \u201cJust My Look\u201d actress time-traveled back into her career even further, cosplaying as herself in \u201cThe Parent Trap.\u201d She played the part of both Hallie and Annie, the 11-year-old estranged twins who find each other at summer camp, dressing in a yellow tweed plaid dress from Balmain for her \u201cGood Morning America\u201d appearance on Monday.<\/p>\n

\n\tAs the official release date \u2014 Aug. 8 \u2014 of \u201cFreakier Friday\u201d looms, WWD took a look back at all the best moments from the original score, finding the easter eggs for some of the biggest hair and makeup trends that came out of the early 2000s. Stylists Tara Smith, Barbara Lorenz, Elena Arroy, Christina Smith, and Clinton Wayne put purpose behind the hair and makeup, recreating the looks of that time for the film.
