Martha Stewart<\/a> may be all about manners, but she wasn\u2019t exactly gracious when asked about Meghan Markle<\/a>\u2019s lifestyle influencer ambitions.<\/p>\n

The domestic goddess and media mogul was subtle but seemingly skeptical when the Duchess of Sussex came up in a new interview with Yahoo Lifestyle.<\/p>\n

\u201cMeghan I don\u2019t really know very well, and I hope she knows what she\u2019s talking about,\u201d Stewart said of Markle, whose cooking, hosting and all things homestead show on Netflix<\/a>, \u201cWith Love, Meghan,\u201d premiered last year ahead of the launch of her curated product line, As Ever.<\/p>\n

Offering what sounded like a faint note of side-eye, Stewart added, \u201cAuthenticity, to me, is everything, and to be authentic and knowledgeable about your subject matter is extremely important.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cHas it started?\u201d she asked, adding she was \u201ccurious\u201d and would watch an episode to \u201csee how she does.\u201d<\/p>\n

While talking to Yahoo Lifestyle, Stewart was more generous with her praise for Gwyneth Paltrow and her Goop empire.<\/p>\n

\u201cGwyneth has been very successful; she created quite an interesting body of businesses,\u201d she said. \u201cShe\u2019s admired. She won an Oscar for heaven\u2019s sake as an actress! She\u2019s pretty powerful.\u201d<\/p>\n

Still, Stewart seemed unbothered by the competition… if they could even be called that.<\/p>\n
