Wegovy is now available in Singapore<\/a> more than two years after it was approved by the Health Sciences Authority<\/a>. It was announce earlier in July by Novo Nordisk, the pharmaceutical firm which makes Wegovy, that the injectable drug is now available with prescription from any licensed physician at hospitals and clinics across Singapore.<\/p>\n

The global buzz surrounding Wegovy<\/a>, a medication designed for weight loss, originated from the popularity of Ozempic<\/a>, initially developed to treat diabetes. Ozempic gained widespread attention on social media a few years ago when users \u2013 many of whom were not diabetic \u2013 began showcasing significant weight loss results.<\/p>\n

Both drugs contain the active ingredient semaglutide. The ingredient mimicks the natural hormone glucagon-like peptide-1, semaglutide regulates blood sugar levels, curbs the appetite and induces the sensation of fullness.<\/p>\n

Of course, with such weight-loss drugs, there always health concerns but it hasn’t stopped users, including Hollywood celebrities, from using it.<\/p>\n
