\n\tKate Middleton<\/a> and Prince William<\/a> are reportedly on the move<\/a>, but that isn\u2019t exactly good news for King Charles III<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\n\tThe July 26 report from The Mail on Sunday<\/a> indicated that the Wales family was looking to upgrade their residence from their current cozy home at Adelaide Cottage. The move seems simple since King Charles III wanted his eldest son to take over Royal Lodge from Prince Andrew<\/a> and then have the Duke of York move into the smaller Frogmore Cottage<\/a>, once occupied by Prince Harry and Meghan Markle. Simple, right? Eh, not so fast!<\/p>\n

\n\tPer the U.K. outlet, the Prince and Princess of Wales are eyeing the \u201cgothic-revival mansion\u201d Fort Belvedere on Windsor Great Park grounds. With a sprawling 59 acres and a reported eight bedrooms, it would be a grand place for Kate, William, and their three children: Prince George, 12, Princess Charlotte, 10, and Prince Louis, 7, to settle down. Still, that isn\u2019t ideal for the monarch whose real estate plans<\/a> would be foiled by his eldest son moving to a different property.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\n\tThe Express<\/a> shared that Prince Andrew is now \u201call smiles\u201d because he\u2019s essentially won the Royal Lodge feud. From removing his younger brother\u2019s security to diminishing his allowanc<\/a>e, Charles has been unsuccessful in his attempts to move Andrew somewhere else. Andrew has a 75-year lease that was signed by the Crown Estate when Queen Elizabeth II was alive, so it would have been hard for Charles to overcome that legal document.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\n\tThere were rumors late last year that Prince Andrew found funding to stay in the home via his daughter, Princess Beatrice. She has ties to the Middle East, and it was speculated that she might have been the link to his sudden windfall<\/a>. Remember, Andrew has not been a senior working royal since his Jeffrey Epstein scandal resurfaced again.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\n\tThe Daily Mail<\/a> debunked that theory in December 2024, as they believed that Charles was self-funding his controversial sibling. \u201cHe [Andrew] just doesn\u2019t have that many friends anymore. He barely goes out, he\u2019s not that welcome anywhere,\u201d an insider claimed. \u201cSo, it\u2019s got to be family, and the obvious person is the King. I mean, why would anybody who\u2019s not family want to give him money when they\u2019re not going to get anything out of it except a lot of flak?\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tFrom the sounds of it, Andrew is in Royal Lodge for good. Kate and William may have foiled King Charles\u2019 plans, and so, the Duke of York unbelievably wins again.\u00a0<\/p>\n
