Wrexham and Birmingham City have been heavily linked due to their on-field success and current owners.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Rob Mac and Ryan Reynolds have brought a Hollywood feel to Wrexham<\/a> during their four-year ownership.<\/p>\n

Paul Mullin has featured in Deadpool<\/a>, and the success of Welcome to Wrexham has brought a worldwide audience to the club.<\/p>\n

Birmingham City have been similarly Americanised in recent years after NFL legend Tom Brady came on board.<\/p>\n

And in 2024\/25, Wrexham and Birmingham were competing for promotion out of League One, which they both achieved.<\/p>\n

The Midlands outfit won the league, and Tom Brady has poked fun at the Dragons<\/a> on numerous occasions.<\/p>\n

On the transfer front, the two clubs have been competing with each other this summer as well.<\/p>\n

Birmingham signed Tommy Doyle<\/a> ahead of the Welsh side, while both missed out on Harry Darling.<\/p>\n

While Wrexham and Brady\u2019s team have become close rivals in the last year, Aston Villa have also been Birmingham\u2019s main rival.<\/p>\n

Now, speaking to Men In Blazers, the American was asked if Wrexham have become their new rival.<\/p>\n

He went on to explain: \u201cI think maybe a rivalry in the making [with Wrexham]. I mean, obviously, Aston Villa I think everyone knows the feelings, certainly all the Birmingham City supporters feel about Aston Villa, they\u2019re probably more of the rival, even though it hasn\u2019t been much of a rivalry in the last 15 years or so. But prior to that, it was all Aston Villa.<\/p>\n

\u201cAnd maybe it\u2019s Wrexham in the making, but I love rivalries because rivalries bring out the best in all of us.\u201d<\/p>\n

Birmingham City chairman praises Wrexham<\/p>\n

While Wrexham and Birmingham are being compared a lot due to their owners and recent success, the rivalry does not feel anywhere close to the same level as the one the Blues have with Villa.<\/p>\n

Jokes and comments are often made between Rob, Ryan and Brady, but it is largely all for fun.<\/p>\n

Birmingham owner Tom Wagner has even praised Wrexham<\/a> for how successful they have been financially.<\/p>\n

He said: \u201cPurely on the commercial side, it would be impossible to say anyone has done it better than Wrexham, who have created extraordinary revenue streams out of thin air. <\/p>\n

\u201cThat is no mistake.
