A Girlguiding group leader had a royal encounter when she handed a gift to the King and Queen during the Sandringham Flower Show.<\/p>\n
Beyond all the fun and games, the show provided the North West Norfolk Girlguiding group with an unforgettable moment when its division commissioner, Ruby Goold, had the honour of presenting a special set of Buddy dolls to King Charles and Queen Camilla.<\/p>\n
It was a fitting way to show the group’s respect for the royal family, while promoting its core Girlguiding values of service and community.<\/p>\n
The Girlguiding group held its own stall at the Sandringham Flower Show<\/p>\n
Ruby said: \u201cIt was a truly wonderful day. The Sandringham Flower Show is just such a wonderful event, and it was fantastic to be able to share the spirit of Girlguiding with so many people.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe absolute highlight, of course, was presenting the Buddy dolls to the King and Queen \u2013 a moment I will never forget.\u201d<\/p>\n
The group had a stall at the show, which provided an ideal opportunity to promote Girlguiding in the area.<\/p>\n
The leader of the group, Ruby Goold, met King Charles and Queen Camilla<\/p>\n
It received a lot of attention from potential new recruits and volunteers alike. They had activities going on, such as the \u2018pin on the map\u2019, which shows just how far the Girlguiding family stretches.<\/p>\n
The \u2018spin to win\u2019 wheel was also a success with the kids \u2013 and a few adults \u2013 offering prizes and a glimpse into what the group does.<\/p>\n
Ruby said: \u201cThe whole day served as a great testament to our Girlguiding community’s spirit of fun and friendship.\u201d<\/p>\n
A set of Buddy Dolls was handed to King Charles and Queen Camilla<\/p>\n
However, the real showstoppers were the Buddy dolls \u2013 created by the group’s friend and fundraiser, June Barrett.<\/p>\n
Rudy added: \u201cThey were a hit with everyone and perfectly showcased creativity and teamwork.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe had many lovely chats, and it was wonderful to meet so many new Guiding friends visiting us from afar, placing a pin on the map to show us where their Girlguiding journey began \u2013 Northumberland was the furthest.<\/p>\n
The Girlguiding group had fun things going on, such as the ‘Pin on the Map’<\/p>\n
\u201cWe shared all the info on how to get involved and how they can make a difference in the lives of girls and young women.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe highlighted our need for more adult volunteers because the more dedicated people we have, the more amazing adventures we can offer our girls.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe are excited to build on the success of our day at the Sandringham Flower Show. We will continue to do what we do best – empowering girls and young women through fun, friendship, and plenty of adventure.<\/p>\n
The stall provided an ideal opportunity to promote Girlguiding in the local area<\/p>\n
