A family-run restaurant in Cornwall is making a comeback in a popular foodie hotspot in Bristol. One Fish Street, which previously resided on St Ives’ famous Fore Street, has confirmed it will be opening up shop on Chandos Road in Redland this September.<\/p>\n

According to their website, the team has “created the restaurant [we] always wanted – small and intimate, with an open kitchen so you can talk to chefs as they prepare your food”. The new restaurant will be located in the site of former flower shop Clifton Flowers.<\/p>\n

One Fish Street<\/a> was founded in 2019 with relaxed, friendly service, and culinary creativity at the forefront of its mission. CornwallLive reports<\/a> that the St Ives restaurant announced it was to close back in December, telling customers it had been “a tough year for the industry” and announcing they were moving on to “something new”.<\/p>\n

The business’ official website now gives the address of 17 Chandos Road, and published menus on the site include the likes of oysters, calamari, octopus, scallops, Cornish crab on toast, Cornish lobster, cuttlefish ragu arancini, and oven roasted fish of the day, among others.<\/p>\n

Opening times are currently set to be 12.30-2.30pm for Saturday lunch, and 5pm-late (last food orders at 9pm) during the evenings.<\/p>\n

Chandos Road, where One Fish Street’s new restaurant will be located, is home to many a top-rated independent restaurant, including the Michelin-starred Wilsons<\/a>. BristolLive explored this otherwise unassuming road earlier this summer, where the likes of Little Hollows Pasta, Dongnae, Bake Away, Snobbies, and more also reside.<\/p>\n

Wilsons, who recently were given their first Michelin Star<\/a>, had such a packed restaurant – filled with glamorously dressed customers celebrating graduations – we could only wave and say hello to staff from the doorway.<\/p>\n

Just months ago this Michelin-starred wonder, along with Korean restaurant Dongnae further up Chandos Road, were featured in a list of the UK’s top 100 restaurants as decided by foodie experts<\/a>. Locals and businesses themselves had their say on what makes Chandos Road such a popular and successful location for independent restaurants.<\/a><\/p>\n
