They fought pretty pretty hard but we stuck to our guns and held our lengths on a pitch that spun pretty nicely for us, and we got those rewards.

“Bowling that many overs consistently is not something I’ve had the opportunity to do in red-ball cricket, so I’m really enjoying that role and the battles I’m getting into, as well as bowling in tandem with Mason.

“I had a little (England Lions) camp which was a great opportunity to have a little insight into what things are like, I learned a lot. (Going on a tour) is one of my goals.”

Glamorgan captain Sam Northeast added:

“It feels great to win here, the guys played well from day one in a real team performance. Mason Crane in the first innings was exceptional and we dictated from then onwards.

“We want to keep looking up in the table, we want to come first in the division, so if Leicestershire falter, we want to be the ones to catch them, that’s the aim. Everyone’s contributing and there’s a real feel-good feel within the place.”

Lancashire coach Steven Croft told BBC Lancashire Sport:

“A lot of the game we had some really good spells and ultimately two poor sessions have cost us the game.

“We didn’t play spin particularly well in that first innings, then in the second innings (us) putting the pressure on, the number of bad balls we got, it was harder to keep the catchers in and there was the threat of us getting the runs. It was clear to see that was the right tempo.

“It’s been a really good match, we could have bowled them out for 180, we should have done better in the first innings with the bat and we were left chasing our tails, but it’s produced a really good game.

“The last six to eight weeks have been really good and we want to keep that going, we lose a lot of players to the Hundred but that gives an opportunity to the younger lads.

After a 75-minute rain delay took 20 overs off the day’s play, Lancashire made a brisk start to…

[4101
1406,79,16,15
0":"post-309757","1":"post","2":"type-post","3":"status-publish","4":"format-standard","5":"has-post-thumbnail","7":"category-cricket","8":"tag-cricket","9":"tag-sports","10":"tag-uk","11":"tag-united-kingdom
["GET
