Everton FC players brightened the days of families at Claire House Children’s Hospice Liverpool just in time for Easter. Handing out Easter gifts, first team players Jake O\u2019Brien and Armando Broja spent time with some of the babies, children and young adults the charity supports.<\/p>\n

During the heart-warming visit to the hospice’s West Derby<\/a> site, the footballers chatted with families about the difference the hospice makes to seriously and terminally ill children across Merseyside, Cheshire, and North Wales.<\/p>\n

Striker Armando Broja<\/a>, said: “To see everyone together, spreading positivity is the most important thing, that is what the club is about. It was a really good feeling to meet the children and families to bring them some enjoyment and smiles.”<\/p>\n

The teammates brought smiles and laughter, posing for photographs and signing autographs for the young Evertonians.<\/p>\n

Defender Jake O\u2019Brien<\/a>, said: “It\u2019s important that, as footballers, we meet the community and put a smile on their faces.<\/p>\n

“It was great to meet all of the children and their families and to be able to make them happy and smile in that moment.”<\/p>\n

Joanne Cook, play and activities coordinator at Claire House, said: “The visit was a highlight for our families.<\/p>\n

“All the babies, children and young adults attending loved meeting the players, getting the chance to talk with them and take pictures.<\/p>\n

“It\u2019s visits like this that create memories lasting memories for our children and families.”<\/p>\n

Broja is on loan at Everton from Chelsea and has played ten times for the Toffees<\/a> this season. After a slow start to his Everton career under Sean Dyche<\/a>, Republic of Ireland international O’Brien has become a key figure under David Moyes<\/a>, featuring as a right-back.<\/p>\n
