EastEnders<\/a> star Elijah Holloway<\/a> once tried to venture down a very different career path \u2013 and you may have seen him.<\/p>\n The actor, 26, is best known to BBC<\/a> soap fans as troubled Harry Mitchell<\/a>.<\/p>\n First arriving in Albert Square last year, he\u2019s been embroiled in a number of huge stories, including discovering that his mother Nicola (Laura Doddington) murdered his girlfriend<\/a>.<\/p>\n We\u2019ve also seen him kidnap Zack Hudson (James Farrar)<\/a> after discovering he had fathered his brother Barney<\/a> (Lewis Bridgeman<\/a>), and more recently, become entwined in drug dealing.<\/p>\n After his best mate Kojo Asare (Dayo Koleosho) flushed Ravi Gulati<\/a>\u2019s (Aaron Thiara<\/a>) stash of narcotics down the loo, Harry has been forced to supply to his customers<\/a> to pay off the debt.<\/p>\n EastEnders is Elijah\u2019s first major acting role, having appeared in a number of short films, a McDonalds advert and in a 2023 production of A View from the Bridge at the Chichester Festival.<\/p>\n However, in 2017, you may have seen him in BBC talent contest Let It Shine.<\/p>\n \t\t \t\t The series saw judges Gary Barlow<\/a>, Dannii Minogue<\/a> and Martin Kemp<\/a> search for a new boyband to take part in Take That jukebox musical Greatest Days.<\/p>\n Elijah, then 18 and working as a shop assistant, auditioned in episode three with a rendition of Greased Lightnin\u2019, originally performed by John Travolta in Grease.<\/p>\n Unfortunately, he received the lowest of the \u2018stars\u2019 \u2013 votes awarded by the judges \u2013 11, and was eliminated from the competition.<\/p>\n \t\t Other notable faces in the series who would go onto receive mainstream recognition were It\u2019s A Sin star Callum Howells, and Emmerdale<\/a>\u2019s Bradley Johnson<\/a>, who plays Vinny Dingle<\/a>.<\/p>\n Elijah isn\u2019t the only future soapstar to seek fame on a glitzy musical theatre Saturday night contest.<\/p>\n In 2008, Coronation Street<\/a>\u2019s Jodie Prenger won I\u2019d Do Anything, which was looking for an unknown actress to portray Nancy in the West End Revival of Oliver!<\/p>\n \t\t\tComments Arrow Arrow![\"EastEnders](\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/08\/SEI_260834414-1ccf.jpg\")
