It will also include a new civic square.<\/p>\n<p>YTL Construction UK will be the principal contractor on the project, with work expected to begin before the end of the year.<\/p>\n<p>Cushman &amp; Wakefield and Savills have been appointed as leasing agents<\/p>\n<p>The scheme is part of Malaysian developer YTL Developments\u2019 wider plan to redevelop the historic Filton airfield.<\/p>\n<p>Plans drawn by architects including Feilden Clegg Bradley Studios will see the number of homes on the Brabazon scheme hit to 6,500 in buildings up to 30 storeys in height.<\/p>\n<p>A 55,000sq m further education building is included, while the amount of office space will run to 270,000 sq m.<\/p>\n<p>Filton airfield was the birthplace of Concorde and supersonic travel, with the scheme named Brabazon after the famous Bristol Brabazon airliner.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"The first commercial office development at the Brabazon scheme in Bristol has been given the green light.
