A drug pusher was found with ‘golf ball’ sized wraps of crack cocaine in his house.<\/p>\n

Officers investigating an unrelated matter raided Callum Johnson’s home in Oldham<\/a> in March this year<\/p>\n

When they arrived, 19-year-old Johnson was ‘unaware’ and was asleep in bed, Greater Manchester Police<\/a> (GMP).<\/p>\n

During a search, they found a shoebox under the bed which had \u00a31,500 in cash, cannabis and weighing scales inside.<\/p>\n

They also uncovered a separate plastic bag containing’ golf ball-sized rocks of white powder’ which it was later confirmed was crack cocaine.<\/p>\n

Each rock could have produced 20 to 30 wraps of crack, GMP said.<\/p>\n

Whilst, a mobile phone they seized linked him to a drugs line known as ‘the Turbo line.’<\/p>\n

It had sent ‘flare’ messages advertising drugs for sale ‘on a daily basis’ they added.<\/p>\n

Johnson, of Vulcan Street, Derker, was charged and pleaded guillty at an earlier hearing to possession with intent to supply Class A drugs.<\/p>\n

He was today (Friday, August 1) jailed for 21 months by a judge at Manchester’s Minshull Street Crown Court.<\/p>\n

Detective Constable Michelle Lomax, from GMP’s Organised Crime Unit, said: \u201cThis case highlights the vigilance and professionalism of our officers who uncovered a dangerous cache of drugs, cash and a weapon while executing an arrest for an unrelated crime.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt sends a clear message to criminal across Greater Manchester: no matter how much time has passed, we will relentlessly pursue all those involved in criminal activity until they are brought to justice.<\/p>\n
