Tributes are being paid to a motorcyclist who tragically died after a collisiom with a van in Birmingham.<\/p>\n
The emergency services were called to the A41 Warwick Road, in Acocks Green, just before 7am on Friday (1 August).<\/p>\n
Paramedics found the motorcyclist in a critical condition and began administering advanced life support and advanced trauma care to him.<\/p>\n
Read More: First picture of careless driver who ploughed into little girl celebrating Eid in Birmingham<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n Sadly, despite their best efforts, the 29-year-old, died at the scene.<\/p>\n This afternoon, a bouquet of flowers had been placed at the spot after police reopened Warwick Road to traffic.<\/p>\n A tribute was also paid tonight to the victim in the city centre, whose death earlier today takes the toll of victims in the city in the last 12 months to 23.<\/p>\n Martin Price, chair of Better Streets for Birmingham<\/a>, held a single white rose in memory of each of the 23 whose lives have been lost since the city council declared a ‘road safety emergency’ last August.<\/p>\n He told a gathering in Victoria Square<\/a> : “Even today another young life has been lost on our roads.
