\n\tTom Holland<\/a> is having one busy year with Christopher Nolan\u2019s \u201cThe Odyssey<\/a>\u201d and the Marvel tentpole \u201cSpider-Man: Brand New Day<\/a>\u201d essentially filming back to back. These movies are Holland\u2019s first features since 2022\u2019s \u201cUncharted,\u201d and their theatrical releases next year will be the first time fans get to see him on screen since his Apple TV+ limited series \u201cThe Crowded Room\u201d in 2023.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cI feel really blessed to be at a point in my career where I can take time off, reset, and come back ready to go,\u201d Holland recently told GQ UK magazine<\/a> amid an intentional slow-down in his acting output. \u201cYou can\u2019t be in every movie, and you can\u2019t do your best work when you\u2019re\u00a0burnt out.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cWhat I\u2019ve learnt is that it\u2019s important to set boundaries \u2013 to be mindful about overworking,\u201d he continued. \u201cI\u2019ve got a slightly busy year next year, and then I\u2019ll probably take a bit more time off in 2027. We\u2019ll see.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tHolland is back in busy mode, and he might get even busier if rumors about him being eyed to play the new James Bond<\/a> turn out to be true. Denis Villeneuve is directing the next Bond movie for Amazon MGM with a script by \u201cPeaky Blinders\u201d creator Steven Knight. Holland\u2019s name is often cited when it comes to speculation over who will take over 007 from Daniel Craig, which has only been heightened by reports<\/a> of Amazon wanting a younger Bond actor this go-around. The new 007 movie is also being co-produced by Amy Pascal, who works closely with Holland on the \u201cSpider-Man\u201d movies.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cListen, there\u2019s speculation at the moment. We\u2019ll keep it to a minimum for now. We\u2019ll get there one day,\u201d Holland recently told Gordon Ramsay<\/a>, who then asked if Holland would \u201clove the opportunity\u201d to play 007.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cDude, I mean every young British actor, it\u2019s the pinnacle of working in our industry,\u201d Holland answered. \u201cI already consider myself to be the luckiest kid alive you know, I could not have dreamed to have the career that I have.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tHolland spoke openly <\/a>in summer 2023 amid the release of \u201cThe Crowded Room\u201d about how he needed to take nearly a year off acting after filming the drama series because it took such an emotional toll on him. The series starred Holland as Danny Sullivan, who is arrested in summer 1979 due to his involvement in a shooting at Rockefeller Center. Holland was open about \u201cThe Crowded Room\u201d being tough to film and said \u201cthat show did break me.\u201d <\/p>\n

\n\tDuring his acting hiatus, Holland stayed busy by doing work with his charity The Holland Foundation and by launching the nonalcoholic beer brand Bero. He\u2019s back in full swing as an actor this year and even told GQ UK <\/a>that he\u2019s eyeing an acting pivot in the future to a new genre.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cI think I\u2019d love to do a straight-up\u00a0comedy,\u201d Holland said. \u201cThat genre\u2019s really taken a hit over the last few years. We\u2019re seeing fewer and fewer of them. I\u2019d love to do something where the question isn\u2019t, \u2018How do we bring emotion into this story?\u2019 but \u2018How do we make people laugh as much as possible?\u2019 That idea of coming to set every day with that mission sounds amazing to me.\u201d<\/p>\n
