Sheffield Wednesday defender Max Lowe has handed in his notice amid another week of turmoil at the troubled Championship club.<\/b><\/p>\n

The 28-year-old made 37 appearances in all competitions last season after signing a two-year deal last summer.<\/p>\n

But with a delay in players’ wages being paid<\/a> for a third straight month, Lowe has decided his future lies elsewhere.<\/p>\n

“There were some players who did not get paid. Max Lowe, who is one of Sheffield Wednesday’s best players, is someone who handed his notice in and he’s now expected to leave the club before 15 August,” Football Heaven’s<\/a> Rob Staton told BBC Radio Sheffield<\/a>.<\/p>\n

“Pretty much all of the senior players were contemplating handing their notice in. There could be others who leave.”<\/p>\n

The ongoing uncertainty around the club, which saw manager Danny Rohl leave this week to be replaced by his assistant Henrik Pedersen<\/a>, previously saw forwards Michael Smith and Josh Windass end their contracts by mutual consent last month to join Preston and Wrexham respectively.<\/p>\n

Lowe came through the Derby County academy and played 48 games for the Rams before joining Sheffield United in 2020.<\/p>\n
