Alongside Leeds United<\/a> players who were thrust into U21 action as further evidence of their pending exits, midfielder Darko Gyabi<\/a> has not been seen since the beginning of pre-season at Thorp Arch.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Daniel Farke\u2019s squad travelling out to Germany brought significant updates on the whereabouts of Patrick Bamford and Mateo Joseph above all, neither part of the plans with Bamford told so<\/a>, and Joseph deciding so<\/a>.<\/p>\n

There were others not part of the first team group, including Sam Greenwood, Joe Gelhardt and Darko Gyabi.<\/p>\n

Where is Darko Gyabi as Leeds United pre-season continues?<\/p>\n

Gyabi is an intriguing case out of this other group, having spent the past 18 months out on loan and never really looked a part of Farke\u2019s plans since relegation.<\/p>\n

A \u00a35million<\/a> signing from Manchester City\u2019s U21 side packed with talent, Gyabi hasn\u2019t hit the heights since leaving the Etihad that his ex-teammates Romeo Lavia, Cole Palmer or Liam Delap have.<\/p>\n

Having been left out of the squad that was in Germany, Gyabi also intriguingly wasn\u2019t part of the U21 side that faced Hartlepool United last weekend \u2013 Gelhardt, Greenwood, Bamford and Jonny Howson all featured<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Gyabi was pictured during the club\u2019s initial pre-season training at Thorp Arch, but hasn\u2019t been seen since.<\/p>\n

Leeds United exit all but confirmed for Darko Gyabi, either permanent or on loan again<\/p>\n

Returning to Leeds after two successive Plymouth Argyle loans, Gyabi will be keen to build on what he\u2019s learned scrapping at the bottom of the Championship.<\/p>\n

Leeds\u2019 promotion out of the EFL obviously means his playing opportunities are non-existent in a white shirt, and that\u2019s made all the more clear by the fact he\u2019s not even with the group, while teenage quartet Charlie Crew, Sam Chambers, Rhys Chadwick and Harry Gray are all involved.<\/p>\n

Last summer saw Gyabi have his move wrapped up very early, confirmed at Wayne Rooney\u2019s Plymouth on July 2, but no such swift exit has materialised this time.<\/p>\n

It was reported by the YEP<\/a> that Leeds intend to bring in \u00a310million combined for Gyabi, Greenwood and Gelhardt, which would be a shrewd PSR profit overall, but is also unrealistic.<\/p>\n

Like Greenwood, though, Gyabi is in the final year of his deal and even a loan transfer would effectively end his career here.<\/p>\n

In an ideal world, much like any signing, an agreement being reached swiftly would benefit Gyabi\u2019s chances of progressing quickly next season, and into the midfielder Leeds thought they might have been getting from Man City in the first place.<\/p>\n
