{"id":311391,"date":"2025-08-02T07:57:12","date_gmt":"2025-08-02T07:57:12","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/311391\/"},"modified":"2025-08-02T07:57:12","modified_gmt":"2025-08-02T07:57:12","slug":"oasis-live-25-european-tour-rumours-circulate-as-no-mainland-eu-dates-yet-announced","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/311391\/","title":{"rendered":"Oasis Live &#8217;25: European tour rumours circulate as no mainland EU dates yet announced"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>\n         Published on<br \/>\n            02\/08\/2025 &#8211; 9:14 GMT+2\n            <\/p>\n<p>          <img decoding=\"async\" class=\"c-ad__placeholder__logo\" src=\"https:\/\/static.euronews.com\/website\/images\/logos\/logo-euronews-stacked-outlined-72x72-grey-9.svg\" width=\"72\" height=\"72\" alt=\"\" loading=\"lazy\"\/><br \/>\n          ADVERTISEMENT<\/p>\n<p>When Oasis announced they were <a href=\"https:\/\/www.euronews.com\/culture\/2025\/07\/15\/the-oasis-effect-which-bands-should-reunite-next\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>getting back together<\/strong><\/a> and taking the show on the road, no dates were listed for venues in mainland Europe. \u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Guess fans on the continent just had to roll with it. \u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Liam and Noel Gallagher kicked off their\u00a0Live \u201825 Tour <a href=\"https:\/\/www.euronews.com\/culture\/2025\/07\/04\/britpop-royalty-oasis-return-to-stage-tonight-for-their-first-gig-in-16-years\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>in Wales at Cardiff&#8217;s Principality Stadium<\/strong><\/a> last month, and\u00a0they\u2019ve brought their long-awaited reunion tour to their hometown of Manchester and most recently London. \u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Next up are shows in Edinburgh and Dublin, as well as stops in North and South America, Australia and Japan. \u00a0<\/p>\n<p>However, there may still be some hope left for fans in mainland EU&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>The Rome City Councillor for Major Events has claimed that \u201cnegotiations are underway\u201d to bring\u00a0Oasis\u2019 tour to the Italian city \u2013 sparking rumours that more dates could follow. \u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Alessandro Onorato said on local radio station\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/radiosei.it\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><strong>Radio Sei<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0that he\u2019s making efforts to bring the tour to Italy.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u201cOrganising a large event in Rome is very complicated; in the past, Rome has been the \u2018city of missed opportunities.\u2019\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>He continued: \u201cOasis in the capital? These are live shows for companies that organise events all over the world, and the financial aspect is crucial. Negotiations are underway.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>So, could Oasis be adding some more dates? \u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Don\u2019t get too excited just yet, as Onorato\u2019s comments come after the Britpop band\u2019s manager Alex McKinlay denied that more tour dates were going to be announced. \u00a0<\/p>\n<p>In May, McKinlay told\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.musicweek.com\/media\/read\/oasis-cover-the-june-edition-of-music-week\/091908\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><strong>Music Week<\/strong><\/a>: \u201cThis is very much the last time around, as Noel\u2019s made clear in the press. It\u2019s a chance for fans who haven\u2019t seen the band to see them, or at least for some of them to.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>He added that there would not be any new material from Oasis: \u201cThere\u2019s no plan for any new music.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Then came a response from Liam Gallagher, who took to X to contradict McKinlay\u2019s comments and reaffirm that only he and his brother call the shots when it comes to Oasis updates.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe only people that will be making any kind of decisions on the future of OASIS will be ME n RKID (Noel) so let\u2019s just take it 1 day at a time.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>He later doubled down on his stance, telling another fan who thought \u201cthere must be a degree of truth\u201d to the manager\u2019s comments that McKinley is \u201cthe accountant\u201d for the band.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>So, who knows right now&#8230; All mainland European fans have to do is pray to that Champagne Supernova in the sky and stay tuned for <a href=\"https:\/\/www.euronews.com\/culture\/2025\/07\/10\/study-says-half-of-uk-sick-of-oasis-fans-forcing-pub-bans-and-deeper-concerns\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>any possible extra tour dates<\/strong><\/a>. \u00a0<\/p>\n<p>In other Oasis-related news, it was recently announced that the money made from Oasis\u2019 shows at Manchester\u2019s Heaton Park would be used to help fund grassroots music venues in the city.<\/p>\n<p>Indeed, the Manchester city council announced a \u00a3250,000 (\u20ac287,000) fund for local music venues \u2013 a move that comes amid <a href=\"https:\/\/www.euronews.com\/culture\/2023\/09\/26\/uk-music-venue-trust-pens-letter-to-government-over-small-music-venues-in-full-blown-crisi\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>worrying statistics about the UK\u2019s live music scene in recent years<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Last year, it was shared that only 11 of the 34 grassroots venues that Oasis had previously performed in still remain open, and in 2023, it was revealed that the UK was <a href=\"https:\/\/www.euronews.com\/culture\/2023\/11\/15\/live-issues-music-manifesto-to-save-grassroots-music-sector\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>set to lose more than 10 per cent<\/strong><\/a> of its grassroots music venues. \u00a0<\/p>\n<p><strong>The Oasis tour continues.
