{"id":311606,"date":"2025-08-02T09:50:24","date_gmt":"2025-08-02T09:50:24","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/311606\/"},"modified":"2025-08-02T09:50:24","modified_gmt":"2025-08-02T09:50:24","slug":"newcastle-make-contact-with-chelsea-defender-axel-disasi","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/311606\/","title":{"rendered":"Newcastle make contact with Chelsea defender Axel Disasi"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Newcastle have made contact with Axel Disasi recently and the Frenchman is on their recruitment list according to journalist Sacha Tavolieri.<\/p>\n<p>Disasi is one of a number of players the Blues are looking to move on this summer, and he spent the second half of last season on loan at Aston Villa.<\/p>\n<p>The 27-year-old made ten appearances in all competitions as Unai Emery\u2019s side missed out on Champions League football on the final day of the season.<\/p>\n<p>Newcastle make contact with Axel Disasi<\/p>\n<p>Disasi had a good debut season under Mauricio Pochettino having joined in a deal worth around \u00a339m From Monaco in the summer of 2023.<\/p>\n<p>However, it was evident pretty quickly he wasn\u2019t going to be a major part of the plans under Enzo Maresca, and made just six Premier League appearances over the first half of the season, with three as starts.<\/p>\n<p>The loan spell at Villa wasn\u2019t the best and it appears they won\u2019t be signing the defender permanently, with it thought <a href=\"https:\/\/chelsea.news\/2025\/07\/axel-disasi-chelsea-future\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener noreferrer\">Disasi wants to remain in the Premier League.<\/a><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/08\/Getty-Images-21.jpg\" class=\"lazyload wp-image-124442 has-webp\" alt=\"Axel Disasi in action for Aston Villa against PSG.\"  data- style=\"aspect-ratio:2250\/1495;max-width:2048px\"\/>Aston Villa are unlikely to sign Disasi permanently. (Photo by Carl Recine\/Getty Images)<\/p>\n<p>Chelsea are thought to value Disasi at \u20ac35m, and the likes of Villarreal and Juventus have been linked, whilst in the Premier League Newcastle are said to have shown interest.<\/p>\n<p>It was reported earlier this summer <a href=\"https:\/\/chelsea.news\/2025\/07\/newcastle-chelsea-axel-disasi\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener noreferrer\">the Magpies were leading the race for Disasi,<\/a> and Tavolieri has provided an update.<\/p>\n<p>He took to <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/sachatavolieri\/status\/1951362420070359293\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener noreferrer\">X.com<\/a> and said:<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAfter resolving the tricky striker situation with Sesko\/Wissa &amp; Alexander Isak, Newcastle United is now planning to sign a central defender! <\/p>\n<p>\u201cRecent contacts have taken place with Axel Disasi, and the Frenchman is included on the Magpies\u2019 recruitment list.
