Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL), the government-owned telecom network, has introduced a promotional offer that offers unlimited voice calls and 4G data at just Re 1.<\/p>\n

In a post on X, BSNL announced that its limited-time Freedom Offer will be available till August 31 and will come with perks like unlimited local and national voice calls, 100 SMS per day, and 2GB of 4G mobile data every day, along with a new SIM card.<\/p>\n

Under BSNL\u2019s fair usage policy, commonly referred to as FUP, internet speed will be reduced to 40kbps when subscribers exhaust their daily mobile data quota. BSNL\u2019s new Freedom Offer is only applicable to new users, which means you won\u2019t be able to claim it if you are an existing subscriber.<\/p>\n

To claim BSNL\u2019s new Azadi ka plan, customers will have to visit their nearest BSNL retailer or Common Services Centres, which are physical stores that let you avail services like issuing a new SIM card, paying bills and recharging mobile plans. However, it is still unclear if the Freedom offer will be available for users who use BSNL\u2019s SIM card doorstep delivery service.<\/p>\n

In a statement, A Robert J. Ravi, BSNL\u2019s CMD, said, \u201cWith BSNL\u2019s 4G\u2014designed, developed, and deployed under the \u2018Atmanirbhar Bharat\u2019 mission\u2014we are proud to be putting India among a select group of nations that have built their own telecom stack. Our \u2018Freedom Plan\u2019 gives every Indian a chance to test and experience this indigenous network for 30 days\u2014free of cost\u2014and we are confident they will see the BSNL difference.\u201d He went on to say that BSNL is rolling out indigenously developed 100,000 4G towers across the country, which will enable those living in rural areas to use high-speed internet.<\/p>\n
To give you a quick recap, the company\u2019s competitors \u2013\u00a0 Reliance Jio, Bharti Airtel<\/a>, and Vodafone Idea offering similar benefits with their Rs 349, Rs 379 and Rs 399 plans, respectively.<\/p>\n
