At stumps on day two, India reached 75/2 in their second innings, leading by 52 runs, with Yashasvi Jaiswal unbeaten on 51.

England initially dominated, reaching 129/1 in response to India’s 224, before being bowled out for 247. Krishna finished with 4-62 and Siraj with 4-86 in a match India must win to level the series 2-2.

Jaiswal survived two dropped catches en route to his half-century. Harry Brook missed a tough chance at second slip when Jaiswal was on 20, and Liam Dawson failed to sight a catch in the deep when he was on 40, resulting in a facial injury.

The opener reached his fifty off 44 balls with a six over slips off Jamie Overton. India lost KL Rahul, caught by Root off Tongue, and Sai Sudharsan, lbw to Atkinson for 11, before bad light stopped play.

England’s opening pair of Crawley and Duckett had earlier put on a rapid 92-run stand in just 13 overs. During their partnership, Duckett told Akash Deep “you can’t get me out” before being caught behind for 43 attempting a scoop shot.

Deep’s subsequent interaction with Duckett added to the series’ existing tensions, following Indian captain Shubman Gill’s accusations of England’s time-wasting at Lord’s and disagreements over the Old Trafford Test conclusion.

Crawley fell for 64, with 56 runs coming in boundaries, after miscuing a pull shot against Krishna. Root and Krishna had a verbal exchange requiring umpire intervention before Root fell lbw to Siraj for 29.

Harry Brook played aggressively for his fifty, including an impressive swept six off Siraj, before being bowled for 53. England’s innings ended there as Chris Woakes couldn’t bat due to a shoulder injury sustained while fielding on Thursday.

England’s Gus Atkinson marked his return to Test cricket with impressive figures of 5-33 in 21.4 overs. His performance was particularly noteworthy as it was his first senior match since being sidelined with hamstring issues after a Test against Zimbabwe in May.

India’s first innings concluded quickly on Friday morning, losing their final four wickets for just 20 runs in 5.4 overs from their overnight score of 204-6.

India vs England Live Score, 5th Test Match Day 3: India mounted a strong comeback against England in…

[5008
113811,748,393,4884,113812,106796,113813,113810,16,15
0":"post-311745","1":"post","2":"type-post","3":"status-publish","4":"format-standard","5":"has-post-thumbnail","7":"category-england","8":"tag-5th-test-match-day-3","9":"tag-britain","10":"tag-england","11":"tag-great-britain","12":"tag-ind-vs-eng-live","13":"tag-ind-vs-eng-live-score","14":"tag-india-england-5th-test-live","15":"tag-india-vs-england-live-score","16":"tag-uk","17":"tag-united-kingdom
["GET
