A man has been arrested and hospitalised following a “disturbance” in Edinburgh<\/a>.<\/p>\n Armed cops raced to Comiston Terrace<\/a> after receiving reports of concern for a person at 7.50pm on Friday. Due to the “nature of the initial call” armed officers were deployed, according to Police Scotland.<\/p>\n A 53-year-old man was arrested and is awaiting a report to the Procurator Fiscal. He was later taken to the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh<\/a> for assessment. He remains in care of medical staff.<\/p>\n Images from the scene <\/a>show multiple cop vehicles parked along the road, blocking through-traffic.<\/p>\n Officers <\/a>can be seen on the street standing beside their vehicles.<\/p>\n Another image also shows an armed police officer<\/a> standing guard.<\/p>\n No one was harmed during the incident<\/a>.<\/p>\n A Police Scotland spokesperson told our sister title, Edinburgh Live<\/a>: “Around 7.50pm on Friday, 1 August 2025, police attended an address in Comiston Terrace, Edinburgh, following a concern for person.<\/p>\n “A 53-year-old man was subsequently arrested by police<\/a> and will be the subject of a report to the Procurator Fiscal.<\/p>\n “The man has been taken to hospital for assessment and remains in the care of staff at the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh.<\/a><\/p>\n “No one was injured during the incident<\/a>.<\/p>\n
