England were victorious in their tournament warm up match over Spain with a ruthless display against Las Leonas.<\/p>\n
The Red Roses scored 15\u00a0tries in a comprehensive win on their way to take on the world in their quest for a third World Cup win, their campaign set to begin in less than three weeks.<\/p>\n
It was a rip-roaring start for the over 5’000 fans in attendence as Maddie Feaunati crashed over before captain Marlie Parker followed that up a moment later with a short-range score of her own.<\/p>\n
Spain had patches of possession here and there but the hosts never released the pressure, Helena Rowland, in an unfamiliar wing position,\u00a0touching down with a superb finish in the corner before opposite wing Jess Breach turned on the afterburners to go\u00a0down the touchline and score.<\/p>\n
Rowland would follow that up with another two well taken tries to complete her hat-trick, the scores coming either side of the break, a Sarah Bern double and a first-ever\u00a0score for Olympic 7s star Jade Shekells.<\/p>\n
After seven tries in an scintillating first half, England somehow upped their standard in the second, scoring eight after the break to set a record for their largest ever win against Spain.<\/p>\n
As well as Rowland’s hat-trick score and Bern’s second, both tries coming within four minutes of the restart, Lilli Ives Campion scored her first England try, strolling through under the sticks.<\/p>\n
Spain, who never let their heads drop throughout a difficult afternoon, got their reward shortly afterwards when\u00a0Cl\u00e0udia Pe\u00f1a hit a big hand off and backed it up to accelerate away and pull one back.<\/p>\n
