Tyson Fury<\/a> continues to keep boxing fans guessing over a potential return to the ring.<\/p>\n

Fury hasn\u2019t fought since suffering a unanimous decision defeat to Oleksandr Usyk in their world heavyweight title clash last December.<\/a> It was his second straight loss to the Ukrainian, after also coming up short by split decision in their undisputed battle in May 2024.<\/p>\n

It was widely expected that the \u2018Gypsy King\u2019 would then head into an all-British showdown with long-time rival Anthony Joshua<\/a>, but any hopes of seeing that fight were seemingly dashed when Fury announced his abrupt retirement from the sport in January.<\/p>\n

Fury appeared to open the door to a return in recent weeks though<\/a>, stating that he plans to make a comeback in 2026, not to face Joshua but in order to try and target a trilogy bout with Usyk, after claiming that he should have come out on top in both of the fights he had with the Ukrainian.<\/p>\n

Despite those comments, \u2018The Gypsy King\u2019 has now made yet another U-turn though, after he was asked by Sky Sports<\/a> when exactly he would return to the ring.<\/p>\n

\u201cNever. Too old, look at my beard, all grey. Boxing is a young man\u2019s game.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

It isn\u2019t the first time that Fury has altered plans regarding his career, having made a number of retirements in the past only to step back through the ropes at some stage.<\/p>\n
