The firm saw a profitable Q2, the first time following several red quarters.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Michael Saylor, chairman of Strategy (MicroStrategy), has downplayed concerns about the firm\u2019s aggressive <a href=\"https:\/\/ambcrypto.com\/category\/bitcoin-news\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" data-wpel-link=\"internal\">Bitcoin [BTC]<\/a> buys, which now control 3% of the overall BTC supply.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>In a recent CNBC interview, Saylor <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=2Z8iZHScPUA\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow external noreferrer\" data-wpel-link=\"external\">stated<\/a>,\u00a0<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>\u201cI don\u2019t think owning 3% to 7% of Bitcoin supply is too much. BlackRock has more than that.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Strategy currently holds 628,791 BTC, about 3% of the overall BTC supply. A 7% target would imply owning 1,470,000 BTC or about 1.5 million coins.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/08\/Screenshot-2025-08-02-112409.png\" data-wpel-link=\"internal\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-515802\" class=\"size-full wp-image-515802\" src=\"data:image\/svg+xml,%3Csvg%20xmlns=\" http:=\"\" alt=\"Michael Saylor\" width=\"1232\" height=\"623\" data-lazy- data-lazy- data-lazy-src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/08\/Screenshot-2025-08-02-112409.png\"\/><\/a><\/p>\n<p id=\"caption-attachment-515802\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Source: Bitcoin Treasuries<\/p>\n<p><strong>Record Q2 profit and BTC plans\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The firm also revealed a profitable Q2 during the latest <a href=\"https:\/\/www.strategy.com\/press\/strategy-announces-second-quarter-2025-financial-results_07-31-2025\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow external noreferrer\" data-wpel-link=\"external\">earnings call<\/a> held on the 31st of July. It made $10 billion in net income in Q2, marking the first profitable quarter after a series of losses.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Additionally, its BTC holding gain hit $13.2 billion on a YTD (year-to-date) basis. The aggressive BTC acquisition has been funded through stock issuance and debt.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>However, the ongoing sale of stocks to raise capital has led to share dilution amid a drop in mNAV (modified net asset value), an indicator that tracks the market value of a firm relative to its BTC holdings.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>To prevent further dilution, Strategy said that it will only sell MSTR shares when the mNAV is above 2.5x. VanEck\u2019s Matthew Sigel <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/matthew_sigel\/status\/1951056330900623442\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow external noreferrer\" data-wpel-link=\"external\">hailed<\/a> the move as \u2018best in class\u2019 for MSTR treasury management.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/08\/Screenshot-2025-08-02-120101.png\" data-wpel-link=\"internal\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-515803\" class=\"size-full wp-image-515803\" src=\"data:image\/svg+xml,%3Csvg%20xmlns=\" http:=\"\" alt=\"Michael Saylor\" width=\"897\" height=\"460\" data-lazy- data-lazy- data-lazy-src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/08\/Screenshot-2025-08-02-120101.png\"\/><\/a><\/p>\n<p id=\"caption-attachment-515803\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Source: Excerpt from Strategy\u2019s earnings report<\/p>\n<p>At press time, the <a href=\"https:\/\/strategytracker.com\/mstr?charts=nav-multiplier%2Cperformance-comparison%2Cbitcoin-price%2Cperformance-nav-premium%2Creserve-chart&amp;timeRange=year\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow external noreferrer\" data-wpel-link=\"external\">mNAV<\/a> was at 1.62x, down from the record level of 3.89x hit last November.<\/p>\n<p> Now, the firm will focus on the yield-bearing preferred perpetual stocks to raise the capital for BTC buys.
