Police investigating the disappearance of a man from Bury have arrested three people on suspicion of murder, it has been confirmed.<\/p>\n
It comes as officers continue to scour Heaton Park where CCTV appears to show Craig Foy climbing into the park on the night he vanished.<\/p>\n
Craig, 40, also known as Craig Kirwan, was last seen on Bury Old Road in Prestwich, near the junction with Kenyon Lane at around 11:45pm last Saturday (July 26).<\/p>\n
The ‘high risk missing person’ investigation is now being led by Greater Manchester Police’s (GMP) Major Incident Team.<\/p>\n

Two have been told they will face no further action whilst one has been released on bail, the force said.<\/p>\n GMP say at this stage they ‘don\u2019t know where Craig is, whether he\u2019s come to harm, and whether anyone else is involved’ and that their ‘overriding aim is to bring him back to his loved ones’ who are ‘desperate to find him and hear from him.’<\/p>\n In an update this evening (Saturday, August 2), the force said that ‘CCTV investigations appear to show him climbing into Heaton Park shortly after he left his home address in Prestwich.’<\/p>\n Officers are currently searching the area in and around the park and will ‘remain there for several days,’ they added.<\/p>\n Join the Manchester Evening News <\/strong>WhatsApp<\/strong> group <\/strong>HERE<\/a><\/p>\n They have issued a new picture of Craig as part of an urgent appeal for anyone with information or CCTV, doorbell or dashcam footage potentially showing his movements, to come forward.<\/p>\n He is described as being around 5ft 5in tall, of slim build, with dark hair shaved at the sides.<\/p>\n He was last seen wearing a black cap, square glasses, a black T-shirt, black cargo pants, and black Nike trainers.<\/p>\n Chief Inspector Jill Billington, from GMP’s Serious Crime Division, said: \u201cWe are becoming increasingly concerned for Craig\u2019s welfare and his family are desperate to find him and hear from him.<\/p>\n \u201cSpecialist resources are working alongside a team of detectives to try and locate Craig, as our overriding aim is to bring him back to his loved ones.<\/p>\n \u201cAt this time we don\u2019t know where Craig is, whether he\u2019s come to harm, and whether anyone else is involved, but we can give our commitment to getting answers for Craig\u2019s family who we continue to update and support.<\/p>\n \u201cWe are now focusing on Heaton Park<\/a> and the surrounding area.
