A woman has died after getting into difficulty in water in Co Donegal<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Gardai <\/a>said the woman, who was aged in her 50s, was airlifted from the water at Glencolmcille<\/a> on Friday evening. They said officers were alerted to the incident shortly after 7pm.<\/p>\n

“The woman, aged in her 50s, was airlifted from the water and taken to Sligo University Hospital where she was pronounced deceased a short time later,” they said.<\/p>\n

“A post-mortem examination will take place in due course. A file will be prepared for the Coroner.<\/p>\n

“Investigations ongoing.”<\/p>\n
